Besides those features already mentioned PopFree allows you to:

• Check mail waiting for you on more than one mail server.
• Filter mail according to multiple header fields.
• Keep track of the number of times each of your filters has been activated.
• QuickScan your maildrop. This shows you what mail would have been deleted or marked as suspect without actually affecting your mail.

What PopFree SE is not:

PopFree SE is not complicated. It was designed to meet my specific needs, not the needs of a software house desiging software to compete in the mainstream software arena. Its filtering rules are not complex. It does not contain features that I felt no immediate need to implement; features were added one at a time when I thought hmmm, I could do with this or even hmmm, I could do with that in spits and spurts of about 20 minutes or so at a time (I have very little personal time). If you don't like it don't use it.

What's wrong with PopFree SE:

• Network error handling is poor. If it fails to connect you are sometimes not told very much.
• Filtering is basic.
